Celebrity MasterChef 2018 line up: Gemma Collins, Frankie Bridge and AJ Pritchard set to battle it out

Gemma Collins, Frankie Bridge and AJ Pritchard are among the celebrities expected to battle it out on this year’s upcoming Celebrity MasterChef.

BBC One are firing up ovens for another summer of stars who are swapping their day jobs for aprons in a bid to win the title of Celebrity MasterChef Champion 2018.

Celebrities going head-to-head and cooking for an array of critics and past-winners also include actress and singer Anita Harris, Eddie the Eagle actor Keith Allen, World Champion Paralympian Stef Reid and England cricketer Monty Panesar.

Hoping to laugh her way to success is comedian Zoe Lyons who will be joined alongside former Loose Women panellist Lisa Maxwell, Holby City actress Chizzy Akudolu and Eastenders actor John partridge.

The stars will be put the test in a series of culinary tests over six-weeks including finalising and cooking a two-course menu for seasoned hosts and judges John Torode and Greg Wallace.

The first 60-minute episode of each heat week will see five new celebrities face the infamous Mystery Box Challenge, which sees contestants cook with a selection of ingredients chosen for them.

They’ll then be tested to see if they can stand the heat in a professional kitchen, preparing dishes for paying customers.

Executive producer for Shine TV, David Ambler, said: “We’re really excited to have so many great names takes part in this year’s Celebrity MasterChef.

“BBC One Viewers are in for treat - as well as plenty of laughs and the odd disaster, there’s also some really ambitious and tasty food.

“It’s one of the most tightly fought and exciting competitions we’ve ever filmed.”
