The latest episode of Game of Thrones gave us the showdown we’ve all been waiting for: the heroic Jon Snow against the villainous Ramsay Bolton.

Following a huge battle between their armies – SPOILER ALERT – things came to a head as Snow knocked seven bells out of Bolton in the grounds of Winterfell.

While it was a spectacular moment, long-awaited for those who have been eagerly anticipating the demise of Ramsay, it was apparently a painful one to film.

Speaking in HBO’s own mini-documentary about the episode, Kit Harington admitted that he accidentally punched fellow actor Iwan Rheon – twice.

“I actually did punch Iwan in the face, twice, by accident, which he took really well,” he said. “He was really nice about it. I had to buy him a pint after that one.”

It sounds like Rheon was far more reasonable about it than Ramsay Bolton would have been.

“That was good,” he joked. “Jaw hurt a bit the next day, but, you know, it’s understandable.”

While Harington wasn’t flayed alive for his wayward fists, the actor spoke about how Jon Snow does perhaps go too far in the scene where he beats Ramsay.

“It’s a horrible moment when you see you see your hero go a bit too far,” he said.

“The audience should feel, ‘Yes! Yes! Ramsay’s getting what he deserves! He’s still getting what he deserves, this is- OK, stop. Could you stop now?’”
