EastEnders viewers were left confused and wondering if they’d missed an episode of the soap after an unusual opening scene.

Tuesday’s episode of the series started with scenes showing Tina Carter lying on the floor in the pub toilets.

But viewers were unsure what had happened as the previous episode had ended with Abi Branning’s funeral.

One baffled viewer asked: “Did I miss an episode of EastEnders? Why’s Tina on the floor? Wtf.”

Another tweeted: “Just caught up on #EastEnders and I’m a bit puzzled, what have I missed? Tina on pub floor WHY? Tattoo on her leg HOW? Crazy man doing kids party JEEZ have I slept thru an episode??”

“Why did Tina wake up on the toilet floor?? What have I missed!!?? And magic Marv! Really is this what EastEnders has come too!! #EastEnders,” posted a third.

The episode didn’t get much easier to understand as after Tina discovered she’d had a tattoo done while drunk and Magic’ Marv was inexplicably revealed to have slept in the pub overnight.

EastEnders continues Wednesday, February 21 at 8pm on BBC One.
