Netflix has been a godsend during the last few months, keeping us endlessly entertained with top-quality films, documentaries and truly unmissable dramas.

The streaming platform’s latest must-stream binge-watch is Cursed, which puts a brand new spin on the familiar story of King Arthur.

Cursed now focuses on the legendary Lady of the Lake, only we are introduced to her as teenager Nimue (played by Katherine Langford) as she fights oppression from the Red Paladins.

While the show has received mixed reviews from critics since it was released earlier this month, some eager fans have binged the 10-part drama in one sitting – and are already sharing memes of the best (and worst) of the series on Twitter.

Here are just a few of our favourites…

The devil works hard, but Sister Iris works harder

While it was the duplicitous Father Carden (Peter Mullen) who was the series’ overarching baddie, others felt it was the sneaky Sister Iris (Emily Coates) who was the true villain of the show.

Others thirsted over the delectable Weeping Monk

He’s played by Daniel Sharman, in case any of you fancy Googling him...

And several viewers thought Nimue's chemistry with the Weeping Monk would be far greater than what she shared with Arthur

Other popular characters include the wild-eyed Pym

Who you may recognise as Sex Education’s Lily Newmark...

And Dof definitely got a raw deal

Meanwhile, it was Merlin who was scene-stealer extraordinaire for some…

However, everyone was in agreement in just how bad-ass Katherine Langford was as Nimue

There is currently no news as to whether Cursed will be back for a second series.

But with the show climbing to the top of the Netflix streaming charts just days after it was release, it’s highly likely we may be seeing more of the Arthurian legend at some point…
