Five more famous faces stepped into the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen on Wednesday night, but one has already left the third round of heats.

The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs failed to make it past the first episode, after serving undercooked beef to judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

“I am a little bit gutted, I really am,” she said after being eliminated from the competition.

“I’d have loved to stay in the competition. But look, I’m really proud of myself and couldn’t have done any more.”

Gregg Wallace described Childs’ Portobello mushroom and goats cheese starter as “very slippery”, while her beef rib-eye main was too rare.

However, the judges did say that her confidence had improved over the course of the episode.

Faring better was BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin, who was praised by the judges as having “had a very good round”, while EastEnders actor Sid Owen was lauded for his “glorious” fish pie.

Actress Tina Malone and Paralympian Liz Johnson received a more muted reception, but have another chance to fight for a place in the semi-final.

Who will make it through and join the likes of Richard Coles, Neil Back, Alexis Conran and Tommy Cannon in the next round? Stay tuned to find out.
