Celebrity Big Brother narrator Marcus Bentley is not usually known for passing judgement on housemates, but viewers think the famous Geordie may have broken with tradition in the most recent episode.

During Wednesday’s show, the voiceover star introduced scenes in which Ginuwine shared some wisdom on the subject of marriage with love interest Ashley James and friend Jess Impiazzi.

“Divorced dad-of-nine Ginuwine is giving Ashley and Jess some marriage advice,” said Bentley.

CBB fans were quick to interpret Bentley’s remark as 'shade', calling the quip the "highlight of the episode".

One amused viewer wrote: “Divorced dad of 9, Ginuwine, is giving advice. Lmao, voiceover man has been a shady b**** this series #cbb”.

Another posted: “I love @marcusBBbentley because I always feel like he’s throwing subtle shade, ‘DIVORCED dad of 9, Ginuwine, is giving marriage advice’ #CBB,”

“Divorced dad of 9 Ginuwine is giving Ashley and Jess marriage advice'' is the highlight of this episode,” tweeted a third.

The rapper went on to explain to James and Impiazzi that he had bought a "big house" so that he was able to have space from his ex-wife and the four other women he has children with.

He told them: "That's one of the reasons I bought such a big house. First of all I had four girls and a wife. I wanted us to still be able to get together but then go off on our own space.

"Man cave, go kart track, basketball court, swimming pool. All that stuff. I made sure I had all that stuff for me and them so we weren't bumping heads."
