Celebrity Big Brother 2018 diary room chair leaves fans baffled

The big blue chair completes the studio's new look

Celebrity Big Brother fans have been left confused by the reveal of the studio’s new diary room, which features a bizarre blue velvet chair.

Ahead of the series’ first all-female launch, the new-look chair was unveiled on Good Morning Britain by the breakfast show’s new showbiz reporter, Iain Lee.

But viewers were left baffled by the piece of furniture’s unusual shape, with one even asking if it was intended to resemble a mountain.

One wrote: “The diary room looks so different! The whole room is the chair! #CBB”

While another asked: “Why is the diary room a mountain?”

However, there were plenty of fans of the diary room’s makeover, with several social media users hoping its dramatic appearance signalled a return to the style of the previous Channel 4 series.

“The Diary Room chair is by far one of the best from the C5 era… are we actually about to get a decent series!?” asked one.

“The new diary room chair is extremely old school! Good sign? Probably just a coincidence #CBB,” tweeted another.
