CBBC have revealed a new logo – and not everyone is pleased about the new design.

The channel has been given a colourful overhaul with a brand new ‘HQ’ set, as well as the new logo.

The change comes after almost ten years, with a green and black design featuring prominently over the last decade.

Controller of CBBC, Cheryl Taylor explained in a blog post that the new look offers “a colourful and versatile identity that is box fresh and fit for purpose in a mercurial and constantly shifting media landscape.”

The design has already been added to the channel and its online presence, including Twitter and the CBBC website.

Despite being bright and colourful, not everyone is convinced by the change – with one Twitter user claiming that it ‘doesn’t look like a kids channel’.

Another claimed that the new logo would be ‘difficult for children to read’, and compared it to something from BBC satirical comedy W1A.

Others just couldn’t handle the fact that a precious piece of their childhood had been changed.

Still there are a few fans out there.
