BTS’ impressive fan army sat down to enjoy Coronation Street before the world famous band performed on Britain’s Got Talent.

The South Korean boyband appeared on Thursday night’s results show, which aired at 9.30pm – straight after a 30 minute trip to Weatherfield.

The group’s passionate fans tuned into life on the Corrie cobbles to ensure they didn't miss a minute of BTS's performance of Boy With Luv.

With little knowledge of what was happening on the soap opera, the BTS army – especially the non-UK contingent – took part in an impromptu tweet-a-long, which was even welcomed by Corrie’s own Twitter account.

The ITV soap wrote: “Welcome to all the #BTSARMY who seem to be joining us for a watch of Coronation Street tonight - lovely to see you all! #BTSonBGT #Corrie @BTS_twt.”

They were quickly inundated with replies from confused fans, asking all sorts of questions about the penultimate episode of Corrie’s big week which will conclude tonight with the big reveal of the truth behind the factory collapse.

One wrote: “Thanks for the welcome! Was kinda confused but am also now invested in these characters bc that was dramatic @BTS_twt #BTSonBGT.”

Another said: “Yess, and I watched the livestream along with 52k people. I can't believe it @BTS_twt #BTSonBGT.”

“I love that #Corrie was also trending on twitter with the #BTSArmy as we waited for our boys @BTS_twt to come on stage #BTSonBGT and #InternationalArmies are now invested in the storyline all Be it a tad confused about #Karla and the #Horse,” said somebody else.

Many fans were asking what happened to the elderly horse who took up residence in Sally Metcalfe’s home and expressed concern for Carla Connor – played by Alison King – who is struggling with psychosis.

Others joked that the soap was “set for its highest ratings” after an influx of boyband fans determined not to miss their favourite artists.

The seven-piece group performed halfway through the results show, looking dapper in a series of pastel-coloured suits, before it was revealed Ben Hart and Mark McMullan had made Sunday night’s final.

The group are in the UK ahead of their two night residency at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
