Bryan Cranston fans were left panicking on Friday morning after his name started trending on Twitter.

Fans feared he had died after spotting him on the micro blogging site – but it was only because he casually swore on live TV.

Cranston dropped the word “s****” as he discussed his portfolio of work with Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh on Good Morning Britain.

Asked if he’s constantly mobbed by Breaking Bad fans, he replied: “No, some people come up to me and go ‘I’ve seen your work and you’ve done loads and loads of s****, but now you’ve done Breaking Bad and other things’.

“Those people you just have to dismiss.”

Garraway and Singh brushed past the expletive but later warned him not to swear again.

“Don’t use anymore swear words,” Garraway said. “Please don’t.”

After fans got over the initial panic that he had died, they quickly saw the funny side, with some joking that he was “channelling his inner Scotland.”

One fan tweeted: “What a lad. @BryanCranston casually saying 's****' on Good Morning, Britain! What a way to start the day!”

Another tweeted: “Bryan Cranston saying ‘S****’ at 7:53am live on #GMB has made my day already.”

Others were less than impressed with one father posting: “Your guest Bryan Cranston just swore in front of my children, do you think that is acceptable. Its 07:55 for goodness sake.”

Another tweeted: “Woke up to some presenter on GMB saying to Bryan Cranston how satisfactory it is to swear... not really just sounds rank.”

Cranston was on the breakfast show to talk about his new film Wakefield.
