Acting may seem like a glamorous job, but sometimes actors are driven to intense places in their roles.

Speaking on the Graham Norton Show, American actor Bradley Cooper revealed that he found it tough shooting one particular scene for his new film Burnt, a drama about a chef trying to move past a meltdown.

In the scene, Cooper had to behead several grouse, and claimed that he almost fainted in the process.

“There was once scene with all these grouse and I’m leaning against the counter because I thought I was going to faint, actually pass out,” he revealed.

“I had to cut the heads off the birds and my hands were shaking. It was actually very intense.”

Cooper also spoke about preparing for the role with top chefs including Gordon Ramsey, Marco Pierre White, and Marcus Wareing.

Cooper’s Burnt co-star Sienna Miller explained that she now has some pretty impressive cooking skills after working on the film.

“I can cook fish quite well because I must have cooked about 500 pieces of it during filming,” she said.

“I learned to fillet a turbot, which sounds pretty inane until you see what it is. It’s like a rhinoceros that has been flattened so it’s a pretty impressive thing to be able to do.”
