It’s felt like a long time since the winter series of Celebrity Big Brother drew to a close – but fans can rejoice that the regular series is about to start up again.

With a totally redesigned new double house, it should be one of the most twist-filled series yet – and as the show will run throughout the summer months, there are plenty of possibilities for the long-running reality show.

Here are five things we’d like to see in Big Brother 2016.

Celebrity guests

The announcement of a double house brings plenty of possibilities – and the main rumour so far has been that the second part of the house will feature secret celebrity housemates.

It could be the case that instead of having a separate ‘civilian’ and celeb series, this summer could bring one long Big Brother marathon that begins as usual, and eventually sees some famous faces taking over.

A flexible prize fund

There are two main reasons that people would put themselves through Big Brother – hours and hours of TV exposure, and that glistening prize fund.

One of the best twists in the previous series saw the prize money fluctuate – amounts were deducted and added according to different tasks, and housemates could barter off some of the cash for extra house luxuries.

Silly tasks

Everything we’ve heard about the latest series of Big Brother has given the impression that it will be particularly intense.

Channel 5 have teased that the housemates will be “under attack from ominous dark forces”, and the house design is all jagged monochrome patterns and retina-burning neon.

While Big Brother can be at its best when things are well and truly kicking off, it’s most enjoyable when it’s being daft – so hopefully some of the new tasks will bump up the fun factor as well as the trauma.

Think Jack being handcuffed to a box of money, or the housemates being secretly under the control of Big Brother and only being allowed to say or do silly things.

Nikki Grahame

What’s a series of Big Brother without some kind of meddling from Nikki Grahame? She’s practically BB royalty at this point – and even though her infamous ‘WHO IS SHE?’ rant is now 10 years old (crikey), she’s still on top form. Just check out this meltdown she had on her recent appearance on Big Brother Canada:

Mass evictions

Evictions are a regular occurrence in the Big Brother house, but last year’s ‘Four In, Four Out’ twist well and truly shook things up.

Four housemates were immediately booted from the show, with four brand new contestants taking their place.

It created plenty of drama, and if they want to up the ante this year they could always just make it five people instead.
