Amy Hart told Lucie Donlan to stop being miserable hours after Joe Garratt was booted off of Love Island in a shock twist.

Lucie and Joe had been coupled up from day dot, but he was forced to pack his bags on Tuesday night after the public voted to send him home along with Elma Pazar after their fellow islanders decided Lucie and Joe, and Elma and Anton were the least compatible couples in the villa.

Amy attempted to offer Lucie some advice as she debated whether or not to quit, telling her: “You can’t be miserable for the next six weeks.”

Molly-Mae said no one will judge her if she leaves, while Amber Gill told her to concentrate on her own feelings and not Joe’s. “Don’t even think about what he would do because you’ll just go round in circles,” she said. “If you want to stay, stay, if you want to leave, leave.”

Amy and Lucie have had a fraught relationship, with some viewers accusing Amy of acting smug when Joe was voted out. She also kicked up a fuss when Joe and Lucie announced they were official hours after she had become “half-boyfriend and girlfriend” with Curtis Pritchard.

She was branded “manipulative” and accused of “turning everyone against” the surfer.

In scenes to be shown tonight, Lucie battles with whether or not to follow Joe into the outside world and turns to Anton Danyluk and Maura Higgins for advice.

“I am finding it hard this morning,” she says in the Beach Hut. “The girls have been really lovely to me, they’ve been really nice. I don’t normally take girls advice but I’m actually going to give it a chance.”
