I’m A Celebrity viewers have turned on Amir Khan after a picture was shared online of the boxer posing with a large snake.

Khan, who quit the first Bushtucker Trial over his fear of snakes, can be seen looking composed while stood next to a woman holding a large yellow reptile.

Viewers were quick to call him out, with some even accusing him of game-playing.

One wrote: “Amir Khan looks really scared of snakes in this photo.”

Another commented: “Amir Khan is such a fake a** why even pretend you’re scared when clearly you’ve had snakes tangled round you before liar! [sic].”

A third tweeted: “Screaming & acting like he did will get him nominated for the trials, going every trial will bring him more publicity outside, publicity brings money…He knows what he’s doing!”

Monday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity saw Khan and his fellow campmate Georgia Toffolo tasked with facing the Critter-cal Bushtucker Trial.

While Toffolo was locked in a room crawling with cockroaches, Khan had to retrieve yellow stars from holes filled with grasshoppers, crabs and snakes.

But when the 30-year-old tried to grab a star from one of the sections he ended up accidentally pulling out a snake instead, giving himself quite a shock.

The nasty surprise proved too much for Khan who shouted: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” which meant he and Toffolo failed the task.
