’Tis the season for panto heroes and villains, rising pop stars and national treasures.
It’s Christmas time, mistletoe and wine, and the splendid news for those in the mood for a festive show in London is that the options are many and varied. There are traditional pantomimes aplenty — oh yes there are — and family-favourite ballets, whereas those in the mood for edgier fare might prefer comedians spoofing the season in their own inimitable ways. Or how about a modern musical updating of that perennial festive favourite, Alice in Wonderland? The choice is yours. Enjoy.
It's not the stage which is offering up seasonal treats: be sure to try one of the capital's best ice rinks (you can find your nearest here), and, once the children are tucked up safe and sound, head to one of London's best winter pop-ups. There are even a few on the roof.
