A Phantom of the Opera fan will have a tune of their own composition performed live in the West End and Broadway.

Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber launched a competition on Twitter to find a new cadenza for Phantom song, Think of Me.

A cadenza is an ornamental solo sung normally at the end of a song, and people have been submitting videos of their own in droves.

Lloyd Webber has enlisted Graham Norton and Sierra Boggess, who played Christine in a number of productions including the Royal Albert Hall 25th anniversary show, and sings Think of Me in the musical, to help him judge the entries.

The winning passage will be performed on the night that Phantom of the Opera reopens in both the West End and Broadway.

The Phantom of the Opera is the most recent musical to be streamed on YouTube as part of his The Shows Must Go On series, and attracted more than 11 million viewers around the world over the weekend.
