New Amy Winehouse exhibition unveiled at Jewish Museum in Camden

A new Amy Winehouse exhibition showcasing the singer's personal belongings and family history is opening on Thursday in north London.

From March 16 until September 24, visitors to the Jewish Museum will be able to see family photos and important items that once belonged to the star, who tragically died in 2011.

The venue in Camden, where Winehouse lived for many years, previously staged the exhibition entitled Amy Winehouse: Family Portrait in 2013.

The latest presentation was co-curated by Winehouse's sister-in-law Riva and brother Alex and features Amy-themed street art from world famous artist Pegasus.

Head of exhibitions at the museum, Joanne Rosenthal, described the uniqueness of the show: "When we worked with the family in curating the exhibition they were very keen this wasn't about sugar-coating Amy, her frustrating side or her rebellious side".

She continued:"A lot of the clothes weren't ironed as they might be for display.

"Everything is left as it was".
