Wide Awake: New 'left field' music festival announced for Brockwell Park

Jochan Embley14 November 2019

A brand new festival aimed at “music fans looking for something different” has been announced to take place in Brockwell Park next summer.

Wide Awake, which will come to the south London spot on June 5, promises a musical outlook encompassing “post-punk, electronic, techno, jazz and more”.

It will be run by Bad Vibrations, LNZRT and SC&P, who between them have been responsible for the programmes at MOTH Club, The Shacklewell Arms and recently opened venue Peckham Audio. They have also been involved in previous editions of Field Day and Dimensions festivals.

The line-up is yet to be confirmed, although organisers claim it will be populated by “artists you won’t find anywhere else at a festival in London”.

Wide Awake has also pledged to be an environmentally friendly festival, with a ban on single-use plastics and ethically sourced food among the initiatives.
