From sorting out where to plonk the hotdog sellers to booking the acts, putting together a music festival requires a Herculean effort. However, it’s all worth it as some of the UK’s most esteemed festival organisers’ best moments testify in the gallery above.

Festivals are notoriously difficult to organise: whether it's problems securing artists, getting enough security, preparing for the weather or wrestling with speakers, it's no easy feat. Still, as you'll read above, the results can be addictve.
