Virtually famous: The Vamps

Something big is coming your way — an air raid siren of pop if you will.

So consider yourself notified that any teenage girls you know may soon be tearing down those One Direction posters and getting tearful about The Vamps instead. The four lads are all in their late teens and all extremely cute in the manner of a rabbit or a Beanie Baby.

They’ve been covering Amy Winehouse, The Wanted and The Undertones in their heavily viewed YouTube videos and playing guitar to their hysterical target audience on tour with McFly. A debut single, Can We Dance, is as catchy as it needs to be, but really it’s all about their lovely smiles and fluffy hair.

The Vamps support Selena Gomez, Sept 7-8, Apollo Hammersmith, W6 (0843 221 0100, hammersmithapollo.com)
