You probably don't remember Adio Marchant from Kid British, jolly ska revivalists from Manchester who sampled Madness and released an album called It Was This or Football in 2009. After splitting from that group and packing in the rapping he's got serious. As Bipolar Sunshine he's singing in smooth, soulful tones and creating a sound in which restrained guitars and keyboards make space for the strong melodies to breathe.

Having already recorded a collaborative track with Hackney dance band Rudimental, he’ll get more attention when he supports the number one stars on a UK tour next February. Before then, there’s a London headline show this month and this week’s new single, Love More Worry Less, a warmhearted ballad about teen pregnancy. It looks like 2014 will be a bright one for him.
