Industry king-makers MTV are back this month with their annual Brand New nominees’ showcase.
This year the list, which brings together the most important artists emerging in 2013, features the likes of Angel Haze, Disclosure, HAIM and Tom Odell.
On Monday January 21 MTV Brand New 2013 will take over Camden’s Electric Ballroom, with headliners The Vaccines being supported by Tom Odell and Kodaline.
The next day Conor Maynard, last year’s winner, will headline with the support of Gabrielle Aplin and Little Nikki at The Forum in Kentish Town.
Tom Odell is one of the most talked about new artists around, and following his MTV Brand New for 2013 nomination he took home the coveted BRITs Critics Choice Award following in the footsteps of previous winners Adele, Florence and the Machine and Jessie J.
“I’m really excited to be playing this show for MTV with The Vaccines and Kodaline. It should be a great night”, he said.
Hotly tipped Irish band Kodaline complete the line-up following an amazing start to the year which first saw them included on the BBC Poll of 2013 longlist. The band release their debut album In A Perfect World and aptly-named single High Hopes in March.
