Marina has discarded the Diamonds that formerly formed part of her stage name, and is back with a streamlined tropical pop sound on her new single, Orange Trees. It’s out today with her fourth album following at the end of April.

Northern Irish band Two Door Cinema Club are busy again, planning an intimate London comeback show in Oval Space at the end of this month, and showing off a fresh disco funk sound on a new single, Talk, out this week.

Arriving belatedly to participate in the Nineties revival, Britpop veterans Sleeper have reformed and release their first album in 22 years today. The Modern Age sees them sounding lively in middle age, adding a bubbly synth line to the new single The Sun Also Rises.

Once acclaimed for their warm country soul music, Lambchop are heavily into electronics these days. Their new album, This (Is What I Wanted to Tell You) is again characterised by analogue synths and main man Kurt Wagner’s digitally processed vocals.

Illinois indie band American Football already weren’t doing Google any favours with that band name, so it’s wilfully obtuse for them to self-title all their albums too. American Football 3 is out today and its beautiful jangly guitars are worth seeking out if you can find them, especially on the latest single Every Wave To Ever Rise.
