Child actress turned major pop star Ariana Grande’s first two albums have been US number ones and a third follows in May. One new song, Let Me Love You, is a smouldering slowie featuring Lil Wayne which is on YouTube now.

Blackpool brothers Strange Bones have recently become the first British band to record at the Foo Fighters’ 606 Studios in California. Their raucous single God Save the Queen, produced by Foos guitarist Chris Shiflett, is out this week.

Harlem rapper A$AP Ferg promises a positive message on his second album, Always Strive and Prosper, out today. Its guests include Missy Elliott, Skrillex and Chuck D, plus Schoolboy Q on the single, Let It Bang.

Aluna Francis has fun chopping up her vocals on the latest AlunaGeorge single, I Remember. It’s a soft electronic jam in collaboration with Australian producer Flume, with a video on YouTube preceding a second album coming soon.

Hope Sandoval has made some of the most gorgeous indie music of all time as the singer in Mazzy Star. Her other band, Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions, have a similar dreamy appeal. A new single, Isn’t It True, came out for Record Store Day as their first release since 2010 and now has a video on YouTube.
