Iggy Pop: Post Pop Depression

May 13, Albert Hall, SW7 (0845 401 5045, royalalberthall.com)

This is the first opportunity to see the perpetually shirtless rock giant with an impressive new band that includes Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys.

Katy B

May 14, O2 Academy Brixton, SW9 (0844 477 2000, o2academybrixton.co.uk)

The dance pop singer is edging away from the mainstream on her new album, which features collaborations with daring producers including Four Tet, Floating Points and Kaytranada.

Ghostface Killah

May 14, Festival Hall, SE1 (0844 875 0073, southbankcentre.co.uk)

This culture centre is perhaps an unusual choice of venue for the tough Wu-Tang Clan rapper, but his two recent Twelve Reasons to Die albums have pumped up his credibility as a serious artist.

Richard Ashcroft

May 16, Roundhouse, NW1 (0870 389 1846, roundhouse.org.uk)

Huge alongside Oasis in The Verve in the Nineties, and a big draw as a solo artist in the 2000s, Ashcroft is only just reemerging with his first solo work in a decade, out next week.

Manic Street Preachers

May 16-17, Albert Hall, SW7 (0845 401 5045, royalalberthall.com)

Having already toured their album The Holy Bible in song-by-song style, now the Welsh trio revisit their best known work, Everything Must Go, for its 20th anniversary.
