Barclaycard presents British Summer Time have re-launched Open House, four days of activities running between two weekends of music.
On July 3,4,5 and 7, the Hyde Park festival will host outdoor cinema screenings, street-food stalls, pop-up bars, live music and theatre. Entrance is free.
Two films will be shown nightly, with details soon to be released at bst-hydepark.com. Screenings will be ticketed and can be booked online.
During the day, from midday onwards, tennis fans can watch Wimbledon for free on the big screens. Come the evening, there will be live entertainment hosted by television presenter and former Harry Potter actress Arielle Free, featuring the likes The London Gay Men’s Chorus, Old Dirty Brasstards Soho Radio presents the Cuban Brothers and beat boxer THePETEBOX.
Refreshments will come from the festival’s own street food market, and a range of pop-up bars. Beer fans should head to the Morretti Gran Tour, which is billed as a “multi-sensory journey” exploring the sights, smells and tastes of Italy – we’re betting it’ll just be a decent place to relax with a beer.
Children can enjoy free performances from Chickenshed Theatre, who are performing their show Tales From The Shed, which enjoyed a successful run last year at the Old Vic. This year, festival headliners include Justin Bieber, Green Day, Kings of Leon, Phil Collins, The Killers and American Icons Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
