Fortnite is kicking off a music festival featuring Grammy-nominated rapper and producer Travis Scott later this week.

From April 23-25, Scott will be going on a virtual 'tour' of Fortnite, performing five live shows for players around the world as well as premiering an entirely new track called Astronomical.

Scott isn't the first to play a live concert in Fortnite. Last February, the DJ Marshmello hosted a live show in the game which drew in millions of online viewers and even more players in the game.

If you want to catch one of Scott's performance, you need to get in the game at least 30 minutes before each show is supposed to start so you can secure a spot for the performance.

There will be a show each day and it has been organised to accommodate timezones across the world.

The new event won't just be for musical performances, either. Scott will be joining the game permanently as part of Fortnite's Icon Series, which is a collection of skins, items and other cosmetics inspired by celebrities and content creators.

In the past, the likes of Twitch streamer Pokimane and Ninja have been immortalised in Fortnite.

During this event, you'll be able to unlock Scott's skin and emotes, along with an Astroworld Cyclone Glider for those who attend the Astronomical event.

Starting after today's update, there will be specific challenges to complete while the event runs, completing these will give you even more free stuff.

There's no word on if the musical performances will be streamed, but we would expect the official Fortnite Twitch channel would host them.
