Dragon Age 4: BioWare confirms game is still happening and making progress?

It's not often we hear any updates regarding the next Dragon Age game

While we did get a look at Dragon Age 4 in EA's Play Live event in June, it's always nice to hear how the game is coming along.

Like many others, EA is having to work from home and the team at BioWare is apparently "making progress" with Dragon Age 4 still, despite the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

BioWare has kept the lid firmly closed on nearly every aspect of the next Dragon Age game and this brief update is sure to be a relief to fans everywhere.

Executive producer at BioWare, Mark Darrah shared the update on the game and was taken aback because so many people responded to it.

The tweet reads: "We are working on the next Dragon Age. Yes we are working from home. Working from home is harder. We are making progress".

We haven't seen a proper Dragon Age game since 2014, which is when the wildly successful Dragon Age: Inquisition launched.

Since then, fans have been patiently waiting for the next game in the series, which takes place in the brutal mediaeval fantasy land of Thedas.

Right up to 2018, there was nothing but rumours and whispers of the next game. That is until we were all finally given hope and a brief teaser trailer announcing the game during The Game Awards.

All we saw was a CG intro revealing the logo and a tagline which said: "The Dread Wolf Rises". This makes it seem like it's going to lead on nicely to the events of Inquisition.

Admittedly it does seem like the announcement was much, much longer ago than in 2018, and but the response to Darrah's tweet shows there's still an appetite for these games.

It also seems likely that Dragon Age 4 will ultimately be a PS5 and Xbox Series X title, considering how the game is still in development.

We will all just have to keep patiently waiting until BioWare is ready to show off more of the game.
