Swinging With The Finkels is a mediocre screenplay

11 November 2013

Writer-director Jonathan Newman's film has Mandy Moore and Martin Freeman as a couple who meet as students, marry and then decide, 10 years later, that things need sprucing up a bit.

The question is whether they should try swinging, sex toys or have children. Set in London, the film tries for a kind of pawky comedy that tells some kind of truth.

But a mediocre screenplay doesn't help and only a few moments work as well as they might.
