My Bloody Valentine 3D

10 April 2012

You have to put on spectacles for this reimagining of the 1981 film Quentin Tarantino called "the best slasher movie of all time".

The scene is a mining town in rural America, where an accident has trapped and killed five miners and sent the only survivor into a coma from which he awakes on St Valentine’s Day some time later, determined to kill as many people as possible.

Director Patrick Lussier draws forth the kind of acting that’s best not dwelt upon and attempts to cover it up with screams of terror. Even the so-called cutting-edge 3D projection leaves much to be desired.
