Monkey business with George

Another animated story about how best to exploit the appetites of jaded modern kids. However, unlike Pixar's classic Monsters Inc, it is unlikely to appeal to anyone aged five to 10.

Ted (Will Ferrell) is the well-meaning curator of a natural history museum that has only one fan - Miss Maggie Dunlop (Drew Barrymore).

To help pull in the crowds and please his boss (Dick Van Dyke, if you can
believe it), Ted buys a yellow hat and goes to Africa in search of a new artifact.

George, a young monkey he meets, ensures things don't go as planned.

Under-fives will appreciate the huggable primate and dreamy 2-D animation.

Everything is genuinely sweet apart from Barrymore's voice and Jack Johnson's cutesy songs.

Just don't take big kids - they will rip your heart out for choosing something so bo-o-r-ing.
