How to Make Money Selling Drugs - film review

Matthew Cooke focuses on the war on drugs in this 'guide' that plays out like an amphetamine-fuelled computer game
20 December 2013

If you managed to catch Eugene Jarecki's The House I Live In about the "war on drugs" you won't be too shocked by the thesis put forward by Matthew Cooke. Still, full marks for presentation; this "guide" — which plays out like an amphetamine-fuelled computer game — is accessible and provides handy tips for budding Walter Whites. (Who knew baby laxative had so many uses?)

But seriously, Cooke feels that the war on drugs, started by a loony Nixon ("legalising marijuana is Jewish"), has become a cross-party obsession that is destroying the fabric of US society. He doesn't think we should all become dealers but his sympathy for cash-strapped entrepreneurs seems genuine. His timely message: just say no to a phoney war.
