A new Hollywood docudrama which portrays Prince William as a drunken, spoilt waster has been described as 'deeply offensive' by Royal aides.
The 'factional' TV drama Fathers And Sons includes scenes showing William naked in the shower, propositioning women, drinking until he vomits and breaking into a Buckingham Palace wine cellar. In another scene, the prince tries to persuade his father to give him a car by saying: 'Mum would give me one.'
But at least one person stands up to William, played by Jordan Frieda, the 24-year-old son of singer Lulu. During a heated argument, one of his guards tells him: 'Your mum's death will only buy you sympathy for being a w***** for so long.'
The rest of the Royals are shown in an equally unflattering light in the show, made by the Fox corporation for screening on the Disney-owned ABC TV network.
However, the Windsors will not be able to take legal action because the film was made by a non-British company for screening outside the UK.
The Prince of Wales, played by bit-part actor Martin Turner, is portrayed as a remote, insensitive father while his companion, Camilla Parker Bowles, is coarse and foul-mouthed.
In one scene, Camilla - played by Carolyn Pickles, 47, a former Coronation Street actress and daughter of the outspoken Judge Pickles - says of Buckingham Palace: 'Where is the gin in this dump?'
The Queen and Prince Philip, meanwhile, are shown as an unfeeling couple who, on the morning of Princess Diana's death, insist the family eats its breakfast and does not mention her passing.
A St James's Palace spokesman said: 'We have not seen the film but, if what they say is true, we would find it deeply offensive.'
