The eighth instalment in the legendary Rocky Balboa universe is out in cinemas soon and is set to be a knockout (sorry).

Rocky spin-off Creed II has been slated for release in the UK on November 30 and, if it's anything like the first Creed, will be a hit among Rocky fans.

What do we know about Creed II?

Michael B Jordan stars in the titular role as Adonis Creed, who's looking to settle an old score.

The film centres on Adonis preparing to take on the son of Ivan Drago, the man who killed his father in Rocky IV.

Sylvester Stallone returns to his role of mentor to Adonis, begging him not to pursue the fight in fear of him dying in the same way his father did in the 1986 film.

The first Creed movie was released in 2015, and was a spin-off and sequel to the original six Rocky films.

What did the Creed II trailer tell us?

The hotly anticipated trailer began with the newly crowned lightweight champion Adonis continuing to train under the tutelage of Rocky.

Viktor Drago then issues a challenge and the pair prepare to face off, but Balboa urges Creed to reconsider, though Creed insists he has no choice. Balboa warns him: "That's the same thing your father said, and he died right here in my hands."

"He broke things in me that ain't never been fixed," Balboa warns Adonis. "It ain't worth it."

Both Adonis' step-mum Mary Anne and girlfriend Biana appear in the footage as well.

Who is in the cast?

Alongside Michael B Jordan, who has been cast for a second time as Adonis Creed, Sylvester Stallone returns as the iconic Rocky Balboa.

Dolph Lundgren reprises his role as villain and Rocky nemesis Ivan Drago, while his son will be played by Florian Munteanu.

Adonis's stepmother and Apollo's widow Mary Anne Creed will be played by Phylicia Rashad.

Elsewhere, legendary American boxing champion Evander Holyfield makes a guest appearance, as does ring announcer Michael Buffer.
