Bula Quo! - film review

Status Quo duo, Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi play themselves in this comedy directed by Stuart St Paul. Think The Monkees meets On The Buses meets Tintin in the Congo
5 July 2013

At last, a dramatic vehicle for Status Quo duo, Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi!

Playing themselves, the pair land in Fiji, where they discover that the men of the island are bloodthirsty brutes. The band's long-suffering manager, (Craig Fairbrass), and feisty young PA, (Laura Aikman), try to keep our boys from getting mixed up in the madness. Naturally, it proves impossible. Think The Monkees meets On The Buses meets Tintin in the Congo. What's that you say? Such a mix DOESN'T sound hilarious? Well spotted. The dialogue is so wretched that the many musical interludes come as a blessed relief.
