The full-length trailer for Disney’s Aladdin has been revealed, taking viewers to a whole new world.

The clip offers a closer look at Will Smith’s Genie, as well as the developing romance between Aladdin and Princess Jasmine at the heart of the film.

The trailer follows the titular street urchin, who discovers a mysterious lamp in the Cave of Wonders, encountering Smith’s genie for the very first time. After granting Aladdin three wishes, the Genie sets about turning him into a prince in order to impress Princess Jasmine.

“You look like a prince on the outside, but I didn’t change anything on the inside,” he says.

Smith also leads a rendition of Disney favourite Friend Like Me in the trailer, with the magic carpet joining in on maracas.

Anticipation is higher than ever for the movie, which follows the plot of the 1992 Disney classic and is directed by Guy Ritchie.

As well as Smith, the likes of Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott and Marwan Kenzari all appear in the upcoming film.

It’s the latest remake from the studio, who will release a Dumbo reboot later this month and a live-action version of The Lion King in July.

Aladdin is set to be released on May 24.
