A Shoreditch exhibition bringing together 20 different interpretations of Batman’s iconic cape and cowl designed by 20 different celebrities and artists, has launched this week.

Curators of the exhibition, which marks the launch of the video game, Batman: Arkham Knight, gave each guest designer a blank, life-size replica of the superhero’s costume with which to work.

Celebrities involved included the TV presenter Jonathan Ross, singer Eliza Doolittle and model Jodie Kidd.

From the world of contemporary art came Hayden Kays, Inkie and Pam Glew, among others.

The results were eclectic, ranging from orange, brightly patterned interpretations to some made out of rusting metal.

The exhibition runs until Sunday June 28 and admission is free.

Although the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions of the latest videogame were received well by critics, the PC version has been pulled from sale after being beset by technical issues.
