Forgotten images of beautiful people from the Swinging Sixties go on show at Chelsea’s Proud gallery next month.

The pictures, including some never shown publicly before, were taken by the late photographer Eric Swayne and include Pattie Boyd, whom he dated before she married Beatle George Harrison.

Fellow East End-born photographer David Bailey is pictured with the French actress Catherine Deneuve, who was then his wife, in Normandy in 1965, while Mick Jagger is seen in 1963 with Chrissie Shrimpton — younger sister of model Jean — who he dated for three years.

The images also include actress Jane Birkin, model Anita Pallenberg and other Rolling Stones band members. Swayne’s son, Tom, found them in a cardboard box marked “do not throw out” after his father’s death in 2007.

The Stones and their Scene: Eric Swayne runs at Proud Chelsea from June 13 to July 28. (proud.co.uk)
