A think tank has suggested that we could all be back in the office full-time in just two years.
The Centre for Cities thinks that the trend for home working and flexible work will end as restrictions lift.
Paul Swinney, director of policy and research at Centre for Cities, said: “I expect we will see three or four days a week in the office as the UK recovers.”
“Over the longer term, I’m quite hopeful that we will see people return five days a week.”
The suggestion follows hints that work from home advice could continue beyond June 21st, if the lifting of lockdown is delayed due to a recent surge in cases.

Opinions were not overly positive when it came to e-scooters.
Many thought that if introduced safely and properly, the vehicles could be a good idea. “Greenwop” said: “The concept is a good one but it doesn’t address the large number of electric scooters already on the roads and pavements; very little seems to be done to stop these illegal and dangerous riders.
“All people using vehicles on public roads, no matter what the vehicle, should be 17 or over, have to pass a test very similar to the one for car driving and be insured (this includes cyclists), although that requirement will only be any good if it is enforced.”
“Ugbert” thought that e-scooters could aid in fact aid safety, but weren’t really a solution to a wider problem: “If it reduces car use it will make roads safer for all. But really more needs to be done to reduce commercial vehicles and hire vehicle numbers.”
But NorthernLondonLad was strongly opposed: “‘They are absolute death traps,’ Simon Ovens from the Metropolitan Police’s road and transport policing command told the Standard.
“Nothing more need be said. How many deaths and wasted lives before it’s scrapped.”
