Weather keeps Brent crude oil low

A lack of hard hurricane news in the Gulf of Mexico and high stocks of oil in the US left crude prices near six week lows today.

Brent Crude for October delivery was just 22 cents higher at $74.48 and US crude was eight cents up at $73.90. Tropical storm Danielle which formed on Sunday afternoon could turn into a hurricane by Tuesday night, according to forecasters.
