Viagra makers cut 240 jobs

Viagra maker Pfizer today cut up to 240 jobs at its plant in Sandwich, Kent as it tries to focus its business on 10 disease areas.

The cuts come as part of an 800-strong worldwide cull of research jobs announced by the US pharmaceuticals giant last night.
