Staff incentives vouch for Park

11 April 2012

Park Group, the Christmas hamper club and gift voucher company, today said its 4500 corporate customers, who buy tokens as a staff incentive, helped its revenues rise 6% to £34.2 million for the six months to October.

Chief executive Chris Houghton said half of Park's takings now come from selling vouchers to businesses including the bank Santander and media group News International.

It posted a pre-tax loss of £4.7 million, down 13% on last year, but stressed the seasonality of its business, with 85% of hampers billed in the second half.

Park said it had shaken off the impact of the collapse of rival Farepak.
