Reader’s Digest gets 25 possible bids

About 25 bidders have expressed interest in buying Reader's Digest, which collapsed in the UK last month.

Philip Sykes, head of corporate advisory services at Moore Stephens, said today he is "optimistic" about selling the title which is still being published. Sykes has sent out sales memoranda to would-be buyers and initial responses are due next week.
