Lazard job takes Naguib Kheraj out of Lloyds race

Naguib Kheraj, the former finance director of Barclays Bank, was today set to join Lazard as chief executive of its international division.

The move takes Kheraj out of the running to succeed Eric Daniels as chief executive of Lloyds Banking Group.

The remaining potential candidates include current Lloyds retail banking head Helen Weir.

Kheraj was formerly top man at Cazenove, the blue-blooded investment bank owned by JPMorgan.
