Informa profits up despite revenue slip

Exhibitions and trade publishing group Informa today reported a 5.6% jump in adjusted operating profits to £153 million despite revenues slipping 0.5% in the first half of 2010.

The "more cyclical" exhibitions arm has bounced back from last year's recession and is on track to hit full-year forecasts.

Informa increased the dividend by 25% but warned it remains "cautious" about the global outlook.
