Henderson Global Investors buys N1 shopping centre

11 April 2012

The N1 shopping centre in Islington today changed hands for £112 million.

Henderson Global Investors bought the site from Metro Shopping Fund, a joint venture between property firms Land Securities and Delancey which also owns the Southside shopping centre in Wandsworth.

The N1 centre was completed in 2002 and includes four floors of shops and restaurants, a nine-screen Vue cinema, the O2 Academy live music venue, and a 100-space car park.

Andrew Creighton, director of property at Henderson, said: "We recognised an excellent opportunity in this shopping centre which benefits from its prime location within affluent Islington."
