Cutting Edge Group to open White City office

The regeneration of White City got some Hollywood glamour on Wednesday, as a films investor inked a deal to expand and open a new office there.

Cutting Edge Group, which buys rights to soundtracks and has invested in films such as The King’s Speech and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, has agreed to take 2,000 square feet at the White City Place business district.

It will open the office next month.

The space is in addition to existing offices in Soho, New York and Los Angeles.

The lease will help allay concerns that Brexit could force businesses to scrap expansion plans.

Philip Moross, the boss of CEG, said the move "gives us the opportunity to collaborate with the most exciting companies, and to provide the best experience for staff".

CEG will join companies such as Yoox Net a Porter and ITV, which have agreed leases for new offices at White CIty Place. The buildings are being created by a consortium including property developer Stanhope.

The area is undergoing a major makeover with Westfield expanding its shopping centre there, Soho House opening a hotel, and tenants moving into thousands of new flats.
