Conferences and exhibitions industry hit hard by coronavirus says FTSE 100 listed Informa

Conference and exhibitions giant Informa said it expects revenue to fall by a third this year as the industry is damaged by coronavirus.

It comes as conferences and other major gatherings organised by its events business have been cancelled following coronavirus lockdown.

The company, the world’s largest organiser of business conferences and exhibitions, estimated annual revenue of £2 billion, compared with £2.89 billion a year earlier.

Shares were up 16.1p at 450p.
