The Government’s Tech City UK is making a move from the digital to the real as it puts down foundations for a home and exhibition centre in East London.

Tech City Investment Organisation, set up by the Government’s UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and headed by entrepreneur Eric Van Der Kleij, was created to boost technology, digital and creative companies around East London’s “Silicon Roundabout” and across the UK.

It now plans to open a 350-seat exhibition space in the area to boost awareness of its opportunities.

The new home, close to Shoreditch House, just off Shoreditch High Street should be ready by the middle of next month to host a raft of events for start up businesses.
